The Banlaw Automatic Fuel
Filling System uses fuel tank pressure as the signal to stop the
refueling operation.
The nozzle constantly senses
pressure at its outlet (inlet to the tank). When the fuel level
reaches the vent valve the outlet from the tank is closed and the
tank pressure begins to build. When the pressure reaches the "set"
pressure for the nozzle used the nozzle will shutoff.
The
system is totally independent from the loading facility except for
the fuel nozzle connection interface. The system schematically shown
to the right requires that a receiver and vent be installed in the
fuel tank and a connecting nozzle is supplied from the loading rack.
A small bleed hole in the vent allows the tank pressure to return
to normal within a few seconds. This system utilizes a type of nozzle/receiver
that has wide acceptance within the industry. The Megatrol nozzles/receivers
are fully interchangeable with the existing Wiggins and similar
units. See the table of interchangeable items later in this bulletin.
The BAM800 Nozzle is capable
of delivering flow rates from 47-210 gpm. For higher flow rates
(up to 265 gpm) ask about the higher flow rate 2" nozzle BAM1000M.
FEATURES
Environmentally friendly - no spillage.
Filling point location unrestricted.
No foaming as in splash filling.
Higher refueling rate than splash filling - up to 210 gpm.
Nozzles, receivers & vents interchangeable with Wiggins and
other equipment.
